The effect of temperature on the physical properties of aluminum oxide

     Different materials and test conditions have different effects on the pore structure of aluminum oxide (specific surface area, average pore diameter, pore volume)

    Generally speaking, with increasing temperature, hole collapse, the surface area will reduce, average pore size will increasing, the pore volume tends to decrease, but not much.

    Generally, below 500 degrees, the specific surface is more than 200, pore volume is 0.5, and average pore diameter is 8-10nm.

    Between 600-800 degrees, the surface area is between 150 and 200m2/g, pore volume is 0.5, and average pore diameter is about 10-15nm.

    At more than 800 degrees, alumina crystalline begins to change. BET will be reduced to about 100, or less than 100, the aperture continue to increase to around 20nm, and pore volume will be reduced, but not much.

    Over 1200 degrees, alpha alumina is formed. BET will be lower, only a few, pore size is large, and pore volume is about 0.3-0.4.
